The Wake County school board adopted a plan that will provide nearly $16 million in pay raises for teachers. Local media outlets reported that the plan would give classroom teachers raises of up to $3,000 this year.

From N&R greensboro.com,

A state plan primarily raised pay this year for beginning teachers. Wake's plan gives raises to all teachers, with the raises targeted for experienced teachers, teachers who don't get raises on the state's salary step schedule and in hard-to-fill areas.

It is not enough - not even close. A $3K raise is an insult.

The current NC government has ruined this state in ways too numerous to count.

Disgusting.

Public education is being dismantled. Salary increases are desperately needed, along with over all funding that meets the need of our students sitting in our classrooms. It is shameful what is happening to our children which is who public education is all about. Isn't election year around the corner....Go Roy Cooper!
