WCNC has the story of another beloved North Carolina teacher forced to leave their job because of low pay. Brian Floyd, a business teacher at Concord High School is leaving the profession he loves after making a menial starting wage for six years. One of Floyd's students said of their teacher, "I don’t have a dad in my life so he's like a father figure to me," adding, “It’s just disappointing to know that you're losing someone so valuable for money.” Concord High Principal, Carla Black said Floyd was one of the best teachers and that she'd, "hit the jackpot with him."
